Rendang Chicken Thighs Recipe

Hello Friends, introduce to You an aromatic chicken recipe cooked with ready-made instant Rendang Paste.

Ingredients of paste mainly consist of chili, onion, turmeric, galangal (blue ginger), ginger, sugar and salt etc.

I love to use this ready-made instant Rendang paste to cook chicken, mutton and beef. This chicken dish when cooked gives a aromatic taste, meat is tender and juicy bursting with delicious flavors.


Ingredients :
– 1 packet of ready-made Rendang Paste
– 10 pieces of chicken thighs (skin on bone in)
– Cooking oil
– Water

Cooking this dish :

(1) Heat up wok with oil, fry chicken thighs until brown on both sides. Chicken meat is to be 80 percent cooked.


(2) Add in one packet of Rendang Paste to the chicken meat, stir fry chicken meat until it is uniformly coated with the paste.

(3) Add in one cup of water, stir and mix all ingredients. When the gravy boils, lower the heat, simmer for 20 minutes until the chicken meat is tender and cook through.
